BIPOC Reimbursement
With the continuing murders of Black folx and the recent rise in anti-Asian hate crimes, AIAS-MN has updated their bylaws to provide a scholarship for Black, Indigenous, and Students of Color to cover the $55 annual membership fee. AIAS-MN believes this scholarship program is essential, as statistics continue to show that Black, Indigenous, and Students of Color do not have equal financial, academic, and professional opportunities to their white peers.
AIAS-MN acknowledges that this scholarship does not dissolve the persisting gap in equity, but it is a small step in creating a more equitable future for our chapter and the wider architecture community.
