Meet the AIAS Board

Halle St. Martin - AIAS President

Halle is serving as this year’s President .

Halle is in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota and is also minoring in Interior Environments. Halle is studying architecture since she has always loved art, design, and mathematics. She also has a passion for working with people and forming new relationships. Outside of studio and class, Halle enjoys reading, drawing, painting, and spending time with her friends and family.

Raegan Olm - AIAS Vice President

Raegan is serving as this year’s Vice President.

Raegan is in her third year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. She chose to study architecture because she hopes to shape environments to enhance lives. Outside of studio, she loves playing tennis and painting.

Tate Bauer - AIAS Treasurer

Tate is serving as this year’s Treasurer.

Tate is in his fourth year in the Bachelor of Science in Architecture program at the University of Minnesota and is also minoring in Interior Environments. He chose to study architecture because of his love for drawing, building, and mathematics. He enjoys the collaborative nature of the major and gaining new perspectives from peers and instructors. Outside of the studio, he enjoys sketching, reading, and hiking.

Paige Lolwing - AIAS Secretary

Paige is serving as this year’s Secretary.

Paige is in her third year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. Her interest in architecture grew from a long-time passion for the arts and mathematics. She loves giving presentations and collaborating with new people, and hopes to have a professional focus on sustainable design and adaptive reuse. Outside of architecture, she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and fishing, or relaxing with a good book and her guitar.

Courtney Biggs - AIAS Fundraising Committee Co-Chair

Courtney is serving as one of this year’s AIAS Fundraising Committee Chairs.

Courtney is in her third year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. From a young age, she has enjoyed designing and constructing school projects. Now and in the future, she wants to focus on designing accessible spaces for those with different disabilities. Outside of class and studio, she enjoys traveling domestically and internationally, watching movies, trying out new food recipes, going to concerts, and hiking.

Kilee Koch - AIAS Fundraising Committee Co-Chair

Kilee is serving as one of this year’s AIAS Fundraising Committee Chairs.

Kilee is in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Science in Architecture program at the University of Minnesota, with a minor in Interior Environments. She is especially interested in the intersection of architecture and interiors and how space can shape experience. Her interest in Architecture stemmed from her love for Art, Physics, and Math

Christina Powers - AIAS Membership Committee Chair

Christina is serving as this year’s Membership Committee Chair.

Christina is in her second year of the Pre-Architecture major at the University of Minnesota and plans on pursuing the Bachelors of Science route. She is studying architecture because it has always fascinated her since it is always moving forward. It focuses on the future of culture and technology and how to bring that into the present. In doing so, it creates an incredible process of design and implementation. Outside of class, she loves to play her saxophone, cook, and paint!

Olivia Garrett - AIAS Public Relations Committee Co-Chair

Liv is serving as one of this year’s Public Relations Committee Co-Chairs.

Liv is in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota with a minor in Interior Environments. She chose to study architecture because she has a passion for architectural history, design, and mathematics. She hopes to have a professional focus on sustainability and historical preservation. Outside of studio, she enjoys reading, drawing, finding new music, and spending time with her roommates.

Jacob Gehlhoff - AIAS Public Relations Committee Co-Chair

Jacob is serving as one of this year’s Public Relations Committee Co-Chairs.

Jacob is in his fourth year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. He decided to study architecture for its blend of technical precision and creative expression, offering a tangible, positive impact. Over the years, he’s built a close-knit cohort of fellow students who share his passion for design. Outside of architecture, he likes hiking, lounging, and trying new restaurants.

Olivia Kennerhed - AIAS Professional Committee Chair

Olivia is serving as this year’s Professional Committee Chair.

Olivia is in her third year of the Bachelor of Science in Architecture program. She chose to study architecture because her experiences with different cultures sparked an interest in how the built environment adapts to the needs of society. In her free time, she works at Career and Internship Services for the College of Design and enjoys sailing and traveling.

Kaylene Andrusick - AIAS Event Coordination Committee Chair

Kaylene is serving as this year’s Event Coordination Committee Chair.

Kaylene is in her third year of the Bachelor of Science in Architecture program and is also minoring in Construction Management. Her bright imagination as a child and love for art and science led her to her passion for architecture. She loves connecting with people and stimulating change, which is why she dreams of designing personalized homes with a focus on sustainable and passive design. Outside of school, she can be found tending to her houseplant collection, baking sourdough, enjoying the outdoors, and going out with friends and family.

Haakon Hanson - AIAS Student Licensing Co-Advisor

Haakon is serving as one of this year’s AXP Student Licensing Advisors.

Haakon is in his third year of the Bachelor of Science in Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. This is his second year serving as the AXP Student Licensing Advisor and he is so excited to be back. In his *limited* free time, he enjoys volleyball, soccer, skiing, and pickleball. If you have any questions about licensure or want to play a game don't hesitate to ask, he is always happy to help and meet new people!

Jada Bobeldyk - AIAS Student Licensing Co-Advisor

Jada is serving as one of this year’s AXP Student Licensing Advisors.

Jada is a transfer student in her fourth year of the Bachelors of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. After starting out on a pre-med track, she returned to her early love of art and buildings, a passion shaped by her dad’s construction background and her mom’s creativity. She sees architecture as a way to tell stories and create spaces that are both meaningful and inclusive. Beyond architecture, Jada enjoys reading, painting, staying active, and spending time with others.

Anna Alvarez - AIAS and Freedom By Design Historian

Anna is serving as this year’s AIAS and Freedom By Design Historian.

Anna is in her second year of the Pre-Architecture major at the University of Minnesota. She is studying architecture because it has always been something she has been interested in and hopes to work in residential architecture in the future. Outside of class, she loves theater, watching motorsports, listening to music, and hanging out with friends and her dog!

Nate Gehrz - AIAS Freedom By Design Director

Nate is serving as this year’s Freedom By Design Director

Nate is in his fourth year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program. He chose architecture because of his passion for design and the opportunity to create spaces that inspire and serve others. He enjoys the creative challenge of balancing functionality with lighting to shape practical and visually engaging environments. Outside of class and studio, he loves to focus on designing furniture, sketching, and exploring the world through hiking and kayaking.

Maverick Almich - AIAS Freedom By Design Associate Director

Maverick is serving as this year’s Freedom By Design Associate Director.

Maverick is in his fourth year in the Bachelor of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. He has a broad interest in architecture, with a special passion for historic preservation and sustainable design. When he is not diving into his studies, you’ll find him exploring the great outdoors or practicing mixed martial arts. He is excited to bring his enthusiasm and energy to this role and looks forward to connecting with all of you!

Henry Ly - AIAS Freedom By Design Project Manager

Henry is serving as this year’s Freedom By Design Project Manager.

Henry is in his fourth year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. He chose architecture because he enjoys creating a physical form from his own imagination. He also loves understanding how buildings are constructed and formed from paper to the real world. He likes to read, listen to music, and go to the gym in his spare time.

Campbell Schwob - AIAS Freedom By Design Secretary

Campbell is serving as this year’s Freedom by Design Secretary.

Campbell is in her third year of the Bachelor of Science in Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. She is also pursuing a minor in Construction Management. She is studying architecture due to her childhood of spending time around construction sites and spending time with her father, who works as an estimator for a small general contractor here in the Twin Cities. Campbell dreams of being a historic preservationist. Outside of school, she enjoys trying the boba shops in Dinkytown, spending time outside, cooking, and being with friends and her dogs.

Sawyer Eidem - AIAS Freedom By Design Co-Treasurer

Sawyer is serving as one of this year’s Freedom By Design Treasurers.

Sawyer is in his fourth year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program. He chose to pursue architecture because of his passion for design, creativity, and problem solving. His interests in architecture range from small scale residential projects to large scale commercial builds, and he is passionate about sustainability in architecture. Outside of architecture, Sawyer enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, traveling, and watching live music.

Benjamin Christenson - AIAS Freedom By Design Co-Treasurer

Make it stand out

Ben is in his fourth year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program and is minoring in Landscape Design & Planning. He plans to pursue a master's program in architecture. This past spring semester, he studied abroad in Copenhagen. He would like to start his own practice one day, and believes focusing on architectural solutions that positively impact our physical, ecological, and social environment while being within reach and realistic is extremely important. Outside of architecture, he enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking, climbing, and skiing. He also enjoys playing music, especially guitar, and has even built a few electric guitars.

Nora Rosemeier - AIAS Freedom By Design PR Co-Coordinator

Nora is serving as one of this year’s Freedom By Design PR Coordinators.

Nora is in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. She is inspired by vernacular architecture and is interested in how adaptive reuse will shape the way we live and inhabit a changing world. She was able to take a dive into this concept from her time she spent learning in Copenhagen. When she is not occupied with design and school, she likes to spend time outdoors biking, running, and skiing.

Minh Vu - AIAS Freedom By Design PR Co-Coordinator

Minh Vu is serving as one of this year’s Freedom By Design PR Coordinators.

Minh Vu is in his fourth year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. He’s passionate about using design as a tool for meaningful change. For Minh, every design decision is a chance to support and empower the people who inhabit the space. Inspired by people and their stories, his work centers on creating spaces that are welcoming, inclusive, rooted in culture, identity, and community. Outside of architecture, he enjoys sketching, painting, photography, videography, and music.

Olivia Mathie - AIAS Bachelor of Science in Architecture Representative

Olivia is serving as one of this year’s Bachelor of Science in Architecture Representatives.

Olivia is in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. She is pursuing this degree because of her love for the combination of mathematics and art, as well as her interest in the influence the built environment has on the human experience. Outside of school, she can be found reading, writing, or with her friends.

Emma Woelfel - AIAS Bachelor of Science in Architecture Representative

Emma is serving as one of this year’s Bachelor of Science in Architecture Representatives.

Emma is in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Science Architecture program at the University of Minnesota and is also minoring in psychology. She chose to study architecture because she wants to make a difference in people’s lives. She loves how architecture gives a unique way of looking at how people experience and connect with the world. Outside of studio and class, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Jacob Grann - AIAS Landscape Architecture Representative

Jacob is serving as this year’s Landscape Architecture Representative.

Jacob is in his fourth year of the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program. Originally starting in architecture, he found that his interests aligned more with natural processes and systems. In his studies, he focuses on using constructed space as a vessel for connecting people to the natural world. Outside of studio he enjoys drawing, photography, and running.
